QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of a Community College in the Medical Office Administration Course or equivalent required

Medical Terminology Certificate or equivalent required

Minimum 2 years patient registration experience required (within 2 years)

1 year experience of payroll data entry (within 2 years)

Keyboarding (45 wpm/95% accuracy) and Data Entry (6200 kph/95% accuracy) skills required

Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate required (training delivered by Health Centre upon hire)

Has worked with automated booking systems (within 2 years):
Community wide scheduling

PCS (Registration Management)

SUR modules

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required

Ability to transcribe Physician's orders

Willingness to be trained to work in multiple fast paced, changing environments and adapt to multiple health teams
and work routines

Strong organizational skills required

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health team

Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with a variety of client groups to ensure patient-focussed care, delivery and
positive customer relations required

Ability to work with mínimal supervision required

Must be available for scheduled shifts and call-ins

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written required

Good attendance and work record required

Must demonstrate commitment to ensure their safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and visitors

Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization

North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) is a unique health care organization with three primary roles: providing acute

care services to North Bay and its surrounding communities, functioning as the district referral centre providing specialist

services for smaller communities in the area, and it's the specialized mental health service provider serving all of northeast

Ontario. At more than 400 beds, our state-of-the-art regional health centre has over 150 physicians, 2300 employees and 250

volunteers.
