Job Summary

The Manager, Data Science & AI team will play a pivotal role in driving CN Data Services data-driven strategy, leading a team of talented data scientists, and collaborating cross-functionally to develop innovative solutions.

He will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process of data analysis, modeling, and interpretation, while providing strategic direction, mentorship, and guidance to team members.

Main Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of data scientists, setting clear objectives, providing mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
Drive the development and implementation of cuttingedge machine learning models, algorithms, and statistical techniques to extract meaningful insights from complex data sets.
Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams, including Finance, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and various I&T departments, to identify opportunities and deliver datadriven solutions that address business challenges.
Develop and implement best practices for data collection, processing, cleansing, and validation to ensure data quality and integrity.
Present findings, insights, and recommendations to key stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner to drive informed decisionmaking.

Requirements:

Experience

Minimum 7 years overall work experience
Proven experience (3 years) in a managerial or leadership role within a data science team or related field.
Extensive knowledge and practical experience in machine learning, statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and data visualization techniques.
Experience working in railroad industry is preferred.

Education/Certification/Designation

Bachelor's/Masters degree or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Methods or equivalent.

Knowledge of data science life cycle (CRISP-DM, Microsoft TDSP)
Knowledge of DevOps/MLOps (Databricks, Azure ML, MLflow)
Knowledge of programming languages (SQL, Python, R, Scala)
Knowledge of frameworks and libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Pandas, PySpark).
