The Early Childhood Educator Registry (Registry) is the legislated authority responsible for the certification of Early Childhood Educators (ECE) and ECE Assistants, the investigation of complaints regarding the competence and conduct of ECEs and ECE Assistants and the assessment and recommended approval of post-secondary early childhood education programs in British Columbia (BC).


Job Requirements:


  • Postsecondary certificate in early childhood education, social services, business administration, public administration or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in each of the following:
  • Leading and supervising a team including scheduling and performance management.
  • Providing client service in an adversarial environment.
  • Providing guidance and problemsolving for a group of staff.
Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) of more of the following:

  • More than one (1) year of experience in any of the above requirements.
  • Postsecondary coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child and Youth Care.
  • Experience in the field of Early Childhood Education.
  • Experience in a public sector environment.

About this Position:

There is currently 1 temporary opportunity available until May 13, 2026. A permanent appointment may result from this temporary opportunity.
