- Evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair heavy duty equipment
- Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems
- Document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken
- Assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely
- Use computer applications and information systems (i.e. John Deere Service Advisor)
- Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel
- Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required

- Dismantle, repair, and assemble industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications
- Operate hoisting devices to position machinery and parts during assembly, installation, and/or repair activities
- Test and provide constructive feedback on existing and newly manufactured industrial equipment
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
- Prepare electronic inspection and service reports
- Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel
- Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required
- Other duties as required
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel
- Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Proven computer and technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration work
- Diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs
- Time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure
- Communication skills, showing an appreciation of customer needs
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Commitment to high quality customer service with a strong people orientation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
