Systems Analyst

Summary/Purpose:


About Graymont:


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Analyze and assess existing business systems and integration requirements for inhouse and cloud based systems.
  • Plan, schedule, and perform regular software upgrades and security updates.
  • Create system specifications and diagrams to document systems and technical requirements.
  • Coordinate and perform indepth testing for new and modified systems.
  • Develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Experience Microsoft SQL Server databases and servers.
  • Experience with Informatica or other data integration products would be an asset.
  • Experience working with realtime data collection systems.
  • Proficiency writing complex SQL queries.
  • Proficiency with a variety of programming languages, including Powershell, Python, Javascript,.NET, Visual Basic, Visual studio, HTML
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:


  • A degree in Computer Science, or equivalent IT education and experience.
  • 3 or more years of experience in a similar role.

Working Conditions:


  • This position will be based out of Graymont's newly renovated head office in Richmond, BC under a hybrid/flexible workfromhome and inoffice arrangement.
  • Responsibilities may require occasional evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported.
  • Ability to travel occasionally on company business, including between Canada and the US and potentially internationally.
