Global Mobility Advisor


What is the Opportunity?
The Global Mobility Advisor (GMA) sits within the Global Mobility Centre of Expertise. The team supports RBC's global businesses that have mobile employees within North America, the Caribbean, Europe, UK and Asia.

As Global Mobility Advisor you play an integral role in the GMA's advisory support and operational effectiveness.

You are the lead contact for RBC's day-to-day operational activities related to the North American Domestic Relocation Program and are responsible for cross-program activities including Domestic Advisory, global invoicing preparation & payment, and internal financial controls.

You will also provide support to International Relocation Programs as needed.

Please note this is a 12 month contract opportunity.


What will you do?

  • Work as a contributing member of the Global Mobility Centre of Excellence.
  • Review Domestic Exceptions/ Exceptions to Policy seek approval and act as support to vendor and employee throughout the relocation process
  • Oversee and manage external relocation vendor invoicing, reconciliations and payments processing
  • Respond to domestically relocated employee requests related to T4's or CRA issues
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance service effectiveness, balancing appropriate operational controls with employee experience
  • Balances GL Report daily to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts
  • Ensure adherence to Internal Control Requirements (i.e., Privacy, Security, etc.)
  • Work with Accounts Payable to complete Vendor funding requirements
  • Action reports as required
  • Responsible for Relocation Visa Program (covering Domestic and International programs), monthly reaging, payment submissions to A/P, escalation management and tracking to card closure
  • Home sale program and inventory management (monthly reviews, approvals within delegated authority on sale or pricing adjustment, escalation management, monthly business unit reporting)
  • Review and approve vendor payroll submissions (MEA, home sale, equity loss)

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:


  • Undergraduate degree or College Diploma
  • High attention to detail
  • 2+years of experience within a global mobility group/function/role, optimally paired with 5+ years of financial/accounting experience
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize work effectively
  • Strong technical capability (MS Excel, vendor webbased admin tools, SAP, Workday); financial tools (RBC Express, Service Platform, IRIS, TSYS)
  • Ability to work under pressure both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Works collaboratively with other team members and internal/external contacts
  • Undertakes activities to support continuous learning and self
- development to enable awareness of industry trends and changes

  • Provides backup coverage/surplus assistance during periods of vacation/absence/high work, supports team whenever required.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Nice-to-haves:


  • CERP (Canadian Employee Relocation Professional) or CGMP (Canadian Global Mobility Professional) certification similar equivalent
  • Human Resources or Accounting Designation
