Major Responsibilities:

  • To report directly to the Engineering Manager and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to electrical engineering.
  • Designing and developing electrical panel assemblies and wiring harnesses, involving sizing and selection of electrical equipment and components to meet project and electrical code requirements.
  • Creating electrical prints using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Source components, build prototypes and conduct tests using common electrical lab equipment
  • Work collaboratively with mechanical and software engineers to ensure successful product development
  • To provide support to service techs or customers to resolve control and electrical issues during commissioning and in production environments
  • Develops and recommends procedures and methods and prepares technical reports and documentation
  • To oversee and ensure ESA, CE, CSA and/or UL compliance as required by the project
  • To continually contribute to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
  • To fully abide and actively support Lincoln Electric's Environmental Health & Safety policies, practices and procedures with respect to protecting the environment, the conservation of nature resources and the Health & Safety of all employees.
  • To participate cooperatively as an employee within the company Performance Appraisal Process and Merit Rating System.
  • To actively participate in company, staff or individual oneonone meetings on an ongoing basis for the purposes of effective teamwork, enhanced communication and progressive cooperation strategies within the department as well as other departments across the company.
  • To conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned or required by the Engineering Manager in a timely and professional manner.

Minimum Education Requirement:

  • Minimum of three years of college in an electrical engineering technology program or equivalent experience in an electrical engineering field.

Minimum Experience & Training Requirement:

  • 35 years of experience in the electrical engineering discipline
  • Experience in medium and large sized electrical panels
  • Proficient in designing and generating electrical and some mechanical prints
  • Strong skills in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong understanding of basic engineering practices and principles
  • Experience in AutoCAD LT or Electrical
  • Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols
  • Working knowledge of electrical code regulations
  • Understanding of compliance regulations such as CE, CSA/UL an asset
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a fast paced team environment
  • Must be accurate and detailed/deadline oriented
  • Must be able exhibit clear and effective communication skills
  • Strong organization and motivational skills
  • Commitment and adherence to all safety procedures
  • French language skills are an asset but not required
