WellFort is seeking to hire a full-time 12-month contract Dental Receptionist to join our Health n' Smiles team

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer phones, book appointments, take and relay messages and books referrals.
  • Schedule appointments in accordance with the dental clinics policy and procedures.
  • Make confirmation calls and ensure provider schedules are full.
  • Ensure that all appropriate forms are completed prior to clients receiving service.
  • Assist clients with form completion and ensure forms are accurate and signed.
  • Maintain and update all dental records in accordance with ODA and WellFort standards.
  • Always ensure and protect client confidentiality.
  • Determine and confirm insurance coverage, explain costs and insurability to patients and process all billings, including accounts receivable.
  • Perform administrative duties and provide administrative support to providers.
  • Occasional chairside backup support

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant knowledge and experience attained through graduation from a recognized College/University in Dental Office Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience required
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Abeldent and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Ability to function and work cooperatively a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Experience working in a value based nonprofit or social services organization.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and people skills.
  • Ability to multitask and appropriately prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • CDA certificate an asset to allow backup support
  • Ability to speak languages relevant to residents of the Region of Peel is an asset.
This position requires flexibility in hours of work to support accessible program service delivery and our hours of operation. As such the position entails evening and weekend work.


Hiring Salary Range:
$35,669 - $38,579
