Since 1989, the company has continually expanded, adding new products and entering new markets. Today, DECAST is the largest manufacturing facility for infrastructure products in Canada.We are looking for a Training Coordinator to join our team in Utopia, ON.
The Training Coordinator, under the direction of the EHS and Training Manager, is primarily responsible for overseeing all training and development activities at DECAST Ltd.
The coordinator is responsible for developing, updating, planning, and implementing training and development programs.Other responsibilities will include collaborating with management staff to assess and facilitate employee training needs and regularly consulting with management to identify training gaps.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and monitor training programs organization wide.
Identify and assess current and future training and development needs of the organization.
Produce training materials for in-house training.
Deliver training Aerial work platform, crane overhead and JIB, forklift etc.
Schedule and deliver annual training needs.
Evaluate outsourced training options to determine the best options for DECAST Ltd.
Consult with managers and members of other departments to determine training needs.
Work with management staff to determine training gaps in existing training and make amendments to ensure proper training is delivered to all staff.
Develop and organize training manuals, educational materials, and any other items used for training.Create, plan, and communicate monthly relevant training themes.
Skills, Education & Experience
Post-secondary degree or diploma in relatable field
3 + years of work experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on training and development
Ability to develop and implement successful and effective training and development programs and activities.
Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
Extensive people management skills
Experience dealing with third parties, consultants, and training specialists.
Proven ability to design and implement different forms of training and development
