What you can expect to do here:
- Be part of the team that works with our clients to successfully complete the environmental approvals for many of the mines currently operating in Ontario;
- Support and prepare documentation for mining projects including impact / environmental assessments and other approvals in collaboration with other team members;
- Prepare and/or contribute to high quality environmental documents that adhere to WSP's requirements for quality, as well as our client's budget and schedule expectations;
- Effectively liaise with clients and multidisciplinary technical teams.
What you'll bring to WSP:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related discipline from a recognized university such as environmental studies, engineering, biology or geography, (post graduate degree considered an asset);
- Two years' or more experience writing and delivering environmental / impact assessments, environmental approvals or similar work for natural resource projects, in a northern environment in Canada requested;
- Experience with the environmental / impact assessment and approvals processes applicable to mining in northern Ontario is an asset;
- Future Eligibility for P.Geo. or P.Eng. viewed favorably;
- Attention to detail and exceptional communicator (both written and verbal) in English;
- Selfstarter who enjoys working in a team environment having an ability to multitask and work with multidisciplinary project teams to execute projects collaboratively;
