WHAT YOU'LL DO:


The Health Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Program Support Partner (HEDI PSP) supports efforts to reduce health disparities by working collaboratively with staff, physicians, patients, families, and community partners, to advance the quality, safety and experience of patient care and service with an equity lens.

This involves supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of structures, processes and policies designed to advance health equity in the domains of access to care, patient experience and health outcomes.

The HEDI PSP plays a critical role in helping to identify disparities in health care access, service provision, satisfaction, and outcomes.

This includes engagement with internal and external partners to develop and promote innovative mechanisms for care and service design and delivery.

The HEDI PSP supports the integration of a health equity lens and EDI principles throughout the organization through engagement and tailored interventions.

Combining expertise in equity, diversity, inclusion, anti-racism, and principles of people-centred care, the HEDI PSP's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, strategy development, staff and physician education, policy development, Patient and Family Partner recruitment, HEDI Committee support, and data selection, collection, and analysis.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING:


  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Degree in a related field including, but not limited to Social Work/Social Services, Health Promotion, Health Administration or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Master's degree considered an asset
  • Three (3) to five (5) five years recent related experience in public health, program evaluation, program management and work with equity seeking populations including experience with public and/or population change initiatives, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Formal training (certification preferred) in improvement methodologies (Quality Improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, Change Management, Process Improvement, Project Management), leadership, or project management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of change and project management principles coupled with a strong understanding of the public health and the healthcare system
  • Demonstrated project planning and strategic planning skills
  • Broad knowledge of public health policies, procedures, regulations, and legislative environment
