Using specified cleaning/disinfecting/sanitizing agents and following specific procedures, work patterns, and routines, performs tasks such as: dry/wet mopping of hallways and residents rooms daily, vacuuming carpet weekly, cleaning of windows, glass, furniture, woodwork, telephones, etc., dusting, daily removal of garbage to garbage bin outside, daily cleaning and disinfecting of all bathrooms, cleaning of residents rooms daily and replenishing supplies.

Demonstrates respect for the privacy and dignity of the residents during performance of duties and handles their personal belongings with respect and care.

Assists in minor repairs and receiving and storage of in‐coming supplies.

Makes a daily inspection of the entire facility, to note potential fire and safety hazards and to note any malfunctioning or broken equipment, including light fixtures, toilet facilities, etc.

Completes daily audits and Duty Roster as per policy and procedure.

Adheres to established department policies and procedures regarding Continuous Quality Improvement activities, safety, environment and infection control. Adheres to and completes all required training prior to date of hire and monthly thereafter.

This position is physical and requires lifting, standing and good time management and organizational skills.
