Position:
Manufacturing Production Labourer

Reporting to:
Shift Supervisor - Production

About the Opportunity

Operate entrylevel converting units by following running instructions; mainly consisting of handling and packaging production from machines
Pack and palletize product according to specification
Produce product with an emphasis on quality; completing all assigned quality checks and taking special care when bagging napkins
Keep the work area clean and deposit broke baskets at the baler operator's station when full and at the end of each shift
Adhere to all workplace safety policies, compliances and regulations
Use all required safety equipment, e.g. Steeltoed safety boots, safety glasses / goggles, etc.
Participate in training and cross training, improvement initiatives including health and safety and quality improvement
Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and follow the production schedule
Ability to lift up to 50 LBS/27 KG
Demonstrated listening and communication skills
Strong motivation with the ability to work independently or as a team member
Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent

Must be available to work continental shift (12 hour rotating shift)_

Compensation:

Fully trained rates from $18.50 per hour plus a competitive benefits package and pension plan
