OVERVIEW:


Role Purpose:

General maintenance functions, maintenance repairs and upkeep to equipment, facility, yard, General store and additional properties.**
Key Accountabilities and Activities:Maintains Maple Lodge Farms buildings, yards and properties, including but not limited to:

  • Repairing
  • Pothole Repair
  • Resurfacing yard and parking lots
  • Plowing/Snow clearing
  • Salting of walkways and driveways
  • Dust control in yards
  • Garbage clean up
  • Spraying or cutting down weeds in the yard.
  • Completes preventative maintenance inspections, and schedules work orders.
  • Assist other Trades as necessary.
  • Other general maintenance duties as required.
  • Policies, Processes & Procedures
a. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work

is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.


Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:


  • Must possess mechanical aptitude and three years of experience in a similar role;
  • Working knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, etc.), GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality, etc.;
  • Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), WHMIS;
  • Ability to excel in a fastpaced environment where attention to detail and effective multitasking is essential;
  • Computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Heavy Equipment/ Lawn Equipment experience

Education and Certification Required:


  • High School Diploma; Grade 12, or equivalent.
  • Backhoe, Skid steer front end loader Certification (training to be provided)
  • Valid G Driver's license required
  • DZ license required
