Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive social media strategies to enhance the organization's visibility and audience engagement.
Create engaging and relevant content across various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Monitor and analyze social media trends, audience behavior, and engagement data to optimize content and strategies.
Plan and execute social media campaigns, including awareness campaigns, fundraising initiatives, and events.
Manage and respond to audience interactions, comments, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to ensure consistency in messaging and branding.
Stay uptodate with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices.
Responsible for influencer campaigns and communication from start to finish. You'll be creating campaigns around a unique vision, drafting the proposals for this campaign, and measuring against KPIs provided by the department head.
Handle year long campaigns on our crowdfunding platforms by utilizing internal and external relations.
Other marketing department responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably within the nonprofit or charity sector.
Indepth understanding of various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter) and more coupled with the capacity to comprehend their distinct user demographics.
Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics to measure performance and make datadriven decisions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling and engaging content.
Strong organizational and timemanagement skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas and campaigns.
Passionate about the mission and values of Penny Appeal Canada.
Proficiency in leveraging Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other editing software and platforms to achieve effective outcomes.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media management.
Copywriter experience an asset

Additional Information:

This is a fulltime hybrid position located in Mississauga, Ontario. Some flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate occasional evening or weekend events.
