Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Privacy Manager to join our team.

As the Privacy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building our organization's privacy program and ensuring compliance with privacy laws and regulations.

You will also be responsible for developing and implementing effective privacy strategies, policies, and practices.


What you will be doing:


  • Stay up to date with relevant privacy laws and regulations in Canada, the US, Europe, and ANZ, and ensure organizational practices align with these regulations.
  • Develop, review, and maintain privacy policies, procedures, and guidelines compliant with applicable laws and industry best practices.
  • Maintain and enforce data inventory rules for personal and sensitive data collected, processed, and stored by WELL Health and subsidiaries.
  • Oversee and conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) for new projects or changes involving the collection or processing of personal data.
  • Design and deliver customized regional privacy training programs to raise awareness about privacy regulations, policies, and best practices.
  • Assess thirdparty vendors' privacy practices and ensure contracts include appropriate data protection clauses.
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans for privacy breaches or incidents, including investigation, mitigation, and reporting.
  • Conduct periodic privacy audits to ensure ongoing compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with product and development teams to integrate privacy considerations into the design of new products, services, and features.
  • Identify and assess privacy risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on privacy compliance status, risks, and improvements.

You have:


  • Bachelor's degree in law, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), or equivalent, are highly desirable.
  • Indepth knowledge of Canadian privacy laws, regulations, and frameworks, as well as working knowledge of US, Europe, and ANZ privacy frameworks.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) working in a privacyrelated role, with a track record of successful privacy program development and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of data protection principles, privacybydesign concepts, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate privacy concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence crossfunctional teams.
  • Familiarity with data security practices and technologies.
