Job Purpose:
As part of this hybrid role, you will be responsible for supporting internal and external customers accurately and in a timely manner with order delivery.
Additionally, you will assist the Custom Solutions department in increasing productivity and relieving other members of basic and intermediate tasks.
Position Summary:
The primary responsibilities of this associate will be to ensure that all orders are delivered to customers on time and accurately.
As part of this position, you will be responsible for assisting the Custom Solutions team with packing and closing orders, bending and fabrication, as well as other duties as assigned.
Warehouse:
- Receive, unpack, sort, and shelve new product shipments
- Data entry of receiving into the computer
Picking/Packing:
- Quickly and accurately pick, check, pack, and ship product
- Withdraw and scan orders
- Coordinate salesman deliveries with sales and customer service
- Coordinate movement of inventory between warehouses
- Pick, ship, and enter branch transfers
- Fill truck inventory
- Generating waybills & manifests for carriers
- Match backings to packing slips and prioritize orders in the bin
- Assemble binders
- Assemble STS handouts
- Calculate freight costs/Update freight sheets
- Assist in updating the location system
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
- Meet, greet, and assist customers in person at the service counter
Custom Solutions:
- Bending tubing both by hand and with CNC bender
- Inventory management between the central warehouse and CS warehouse
- Creation of tags for assemblies and products
- Cut 10' lengths
- Hose fabrication
- Relief valve setting
- Absorb Product Training through the use of an online portal, Swagelok University
Education, Experience, and Skills/Knowledge Required:
Education:
- High School Diploma (Essential)
- Secondary Certificate or Diploma in related program (Desirable)
- Certification for Assemblies(Desirable)
Experience:
- Related warehouse experience (Desirable)
- Experience in a technical industry (Desirable)
Skills/Knowledge:
- Highly professional verbal and written communication skills (Essential)
- Strong computer skills
- Microsoft Outlook, Excel are primary (Desirable)
- Mechanical aptitude (Desirable)
- Skilled in multitasking (Desirable)
- High level of attention to detail (Desirable)
- Established organizational skills (Desirable)
