Your opportunity:


Under the direction of the MScAC Marketing & Communications Manager, and in close collaboration with the Department of Computer Science (DCS) Senior Communications and External Relations Officer, as well as the communications offices of the partner departments, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the MScAC's marketing and communications strategy by developing and executing on the program's digital media strategies and initiatives.

This position will be a key team member to raise the profile of the MScAC brand within the digital landscape and strengthen internal and external communications with the program's stakeholders.


Critical to success in this position will be aligning activities with the overall vision for the MScAC marketing and communications strategy, ensuring the needs of multiple stakeholders are met, and establishing a cooperative process for collaboration with MScAC partner departments.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Implementing digital communication plans across a broad range of marketing/communication channels
  • Advising on best practices and strategies to maximize digital communication initiatives
  • Analyzing and recommending options for the development of visual expression/layout of digital assets
  • Producing promotional and outreach materials
  • Maintaining information on digital platforms
  • Advising others on website design and content
  • Coordinating website updates and ensuring technical issues are resolved
  • Analyzing the effectiveness of campaigns and/or programs using metrics

Essential Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, Website/ Graphic Design, English or a related field, or an equivalent combination of acceptable education and experience.
  • Minimum four years of recent and relevant experience in developing and executing multimedia channel strategies and tactics.
  • Knowledge of and experience with communication and brand management strategies for multimedia channels, including the ability to assess the effectiveness of those strategies in a variety of markets and adjust as needed.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated experience with social media channels and their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, Snapchat,TikTok, etc.), and how to best utilize each channel,
  • Strong communication skills including strong verbal, writing, and editing skills.
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
  • Experience working within an ecosystem of related website platforms and social media channels.
  • Experience maintaining an editorial calendar for multiple digital channels.
  • Advanced skills in photography and videography production and editing in Adobe Creative Cloud or other relevant platforms (e.g., preparing rundowns, booking spaces, identifying equipment required, writing script, editing audio and visual elements, etc.).
  • Advanced skills in content management and publishing tools (e.g., OneDrive, SharePoint, Box, MyMedia, YouTube, Vimeo or similar).
  • Advanced skills in website building and management tools (e.g., Square Space).
  • Must be flexible and adaptable with a high level of initiative and results orientation, and the ability to foster that expectation in others.
