We are looking to fill a permanent position of
Business partner - Health and safety at our Ville Saint-Laurent offices.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Health and Safety Director, your role will be, among others, to identify and analyze the various prevention issues.
More specifically, your main tasks will be:
- Participate in the development and deployment of OHS processes, policies, program and tools to promote best practices.
- Organize and conduct audit visits to analyze gaps and produce nonconformance reports to support managers in the implementation of their action plans.
- Coordinate the deployment of training activities.
- Collaborate in the management of files and ensure the followup of the various business partners in Quebec, Canada, and the United States.
- Take charge of the integration of an OHS management system for the prevention and claims aspects.
- Prepare statistical data on accidental events, analyze them, highlight trends, and recommend courses of action to resolve issues.
- Ensure participative leadership and model involvement in accordance with operations in the implementation of OHS measures, particularly at the head office.
- Recommend and optimize processes that promote the adoption of adapted OHS best practices while creating synergy with network committees and representatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources management, labour relations studies or other related discipline, combined with specialized training in occupational health and safety management;
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar position, with a minimum of two (2) years of specialized OHS experience Great computer skills (Microsoft Office);
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and regulations;
- Be on the lookout for best management practices in continuous improvement;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs and other computer tools relevant to the role;
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite;
- Bilingualism (written and spoken);
- Experience in implementing safety related prevention measures in high volume warehouses (an asset);
- Knowledge of OSHA standards (an asset);
