Summary Statement


Under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager, this role is responsible for organizing, directing, and ensuring all production objectives are met within the production facility for an entire shift.

The Team Lead will manage workflow, manage personnel efficiency and enter data into the ERP system.


Qualifications:


  • Completion of College Diploma, or equivalent experience in supervising.
  • 5+ years working in a Team Leader position, evaluating production staff.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
  • Industrial manufacturing experience and an understanding of production processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for overseeing and managing a shift of production employees, on an afternoon shift. Including; organizing work orders and tasks, directing labour to the required areas of production, evaluating the production objectives on a shift to completion.
  • Coordinate with production team to determine the requirements, specifications and timing required to complete work orders, and provide assistance.
  • Overseeing all production work to ensure it is meeting quality standards and customer requirements, based on specifications.
  • Trouble shoot process and production equipment, as required.
  • Participate in the training of new production employees, in all areas of production; parts assembly, seaming, cuffing, quality inspection.
  • Liaison with the Production Coordinator (day shift) by working through a communication tool to ensure all production objectives are met.
  • Manage personnel challenges and communicate effectively with the Production Supervisor.
  • Complete all time and attendance documentation.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with company and departmental policies, procedures and standards.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment.

Salary:
$20.00-$21.00 per hour
