Description
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and ensure that all safety practices and procedures are

being followed at all times, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (steel

toed boots, safety vest, protective eye/face gear, gloves, etc.) for the task at hand.

  • Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using devices such as
motor analyzers, handheld computers, chassis charts and pressure gauges.

  • Inspect various parts of trucks, including engines, brake systems, wheel bearings, steering
mechanisms, fuel system components and other important parts to ensure they are in the proper

working order.

  • Determine a course of action for repairs and create detailed reports to facilitate work scheduling.
  • Interact with customers and stakeholders and provide them with an explanation of required work
and an estimation of the cost, when necessary.

  • Replace or repair malfunctioning components including parts, valves, bearings and gears as
needed; tighten bolts and screws and reassemble equipment.

  • Safely use the appropriate tools for the repair such as hand tools (screw drivers, pliers,
wrenches, pressure gauges and precision instruments) as well as power tools (pneumatic

wrenches, lathes, welding equipment, jacks and hoists, etc.).

  • Road test vehicles when necessary to assist in diagnosing malfunctions or to ensure that the
vehicle is in proper working order.

Salary:
$16.03-$20.00 per hour
