Position Overview:


  • WELL has grown rapidly by 60+ acquisitions and investments over the last few years and continues to grow (it's an exciting place to work). The WELL People and Culture (P&C) Team provides HR Shared Services to the corporate team and our subsidiaries while serving over 3200 team members. The Compensation and Benefits Specialist will be a member of the P&C Shared Services team, involved with designing, managing and supporting the Total Rewards, Compensation and Benefits programs. The goal is to attract, retain and motivate highquality employees while reducing turnover and enhancing our company's profile as the best place to work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design a robust compensation & benefits strategy in alignment with the company's philosophies and business objectives to bring our program offerings to life
  • Stay uptodate and ensure that compensation practices comply with current legislation (pay equity, human rights, etc.)
  • Manage the company's benefits programs: enrollment, reporting, analysis, renewal, supporting inquiries and questions from employees.
  • Manage the company's equity program: maintaining profiles and records, grant and monthly vesting events, and responding to inquiries and questions from the participants.
  • Analyze the current compensation structure and develop job banding and levelling process.
  • Prepare a variety of special reports and analyses to monitor the integrity and competitiveness of our compensation programs.
  • Participate in salary surveys, ad hoc compensation surveys and compilation of survey market data. Prepare market analysis and recommendations for any compensation adjustments.
  • Conduct ongoing research into emerging trends, issues and best practices
  • Responding to internal and external HRrelated inquiries or requests and providing assistance
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our team members and consultants and assist with any queries they have in a timely manner.
  • Seek continuously for any improvements in our P&C Shared Services operations to serve our internal customers efficiently (wow them and make them very happy).
  • Assist with any HR related projects
  • Other P&C Shared Servicesrelated duties as required.

Requirements:


  • 57 years of proven work experience as a Compensation and Benefits Specialist or related areas.
  • Handson experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), and experience in ADP Workforce Now is an asset (but not mandatory)
  • Experience with Shareworks or equity management systems is an asset (but not mandatory)
  • Solid understanding of labour legislation and familiarity with payroll processes
  • Strong analytical skill
  • Strong computer skills (MS Excel, Word, PPT, and other programs)
  • Excellent attention to detail while multitasking
  • Ability to develop and sustain relationships
  • Ability to execute daily tasks with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Great problemsolving abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment and be a selfstarter who works with integrity while also being a strong team player.
  • A high degree of professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential materials
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
