Accountable to the Dental Manager, the Chairside Dental Assistant/Certified Dental Assistant plays a key role in maintaining the warm, friendly environment for which we are known.

The Chairside Dental Assistant/Certified Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting dentists during examination and treatment of patients and performing regular CDA's duties.


Qualifications and skills

  • Graduation from a recognized CDA program and registration with the College of Dental Assistants.
  • 2 years' experience working in a dental clinic preferred.
  • Experience working with vulnerable and marginalized populations
  • Demonstrates a commitment to the social determinants of health and antioppression being the foundation for patient care
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Good communication skills to liaise between the clinical team and reception team
  • Flexible, with a good work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of Power Practice an asset.
  • Ability to speak more than one language is an asset.

Job Types:
Part-time, Casual

Part-time hours: 25 per week


Salary:
$23.00-$28.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

  • Certified Dental Assistant (preferred)
