ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the daily scheduling of shop and field service technicians to ensure that the workforce is adequately assigned to meet customer expectationsSupervise and support shop and field service technicians and provide team leadership and direction to sustain employee engagementServe as front line customer contact for shop and field service requests, follow-up and issuesAssist customers, shop and field service technicians with technical issues in person, via phone or email.
Partner with Technical Support as requiredPrepare shop and field service quotes for customers as requiredBuild customer relationships and resolve issues directly or escalate to Service Manager as requiredOpen work orders as required, review, approve and enter service reports, time sheets, work orders and parts requisitionsMonitor, review and maximize efforts to ensure appropriate levels of WIP on a daily basis and maintain timely closing/invoicing of all EMT shop and field service jobsPartner with the warranty department for proper and timely claim submissionsCommunicate and maintain all safety rules and procedures at all times for technicians working at the shop as well as in the field at customer's sitesLiaise with the parts department regarding parts ordering and availability to ensure timely completion of jobsVisit techs in the field to ensure highest quality and safety on the jobs is achievedPerform truck inspections to ensure fleet is both safe and cleanPerform regular shop inspections to ensure safety rules are being followed and premises kept clean and organizedMaintain a good work environment and resolve personnel conflicts as they ariseOther duties as assignedCompetenciesMust have experience within the Heavy Equipment or closely related industry, Heavy Equipment License is preferred but not required5+ years Supervisory or Management experience is requiredExceptional interpersonal, coaching & leadership skills are requiredHigh level of professionalism and ability to interact calmly while under pressureAgile and adaptable to the changing demands of the industryCustomer and employee centricComputer Proficient - Word, Excel (MS Office Suite)Valid driver's license is required, willingness to travel locally.
