Sunday - Thursday (6:00am - 2:30pm)

Training: Monday - Friday (6:00am - 2:30pm) Two (2) weeks only
In your role as General Warehouse Person - General Merchandise, Days, at The North West Company (NWC), you're an integral part of our warehouse operations and activities.
Your Role:
- Detail receive PO's into Warehouse 7 and Warehouse 5;
- Prepare and tag orders for distribution to stores;
- Pick in the various zones for daily Basics allocations;
- Organize freight inside the warehouse and outside in the yard;
- Deliver and stage warehouse 5 & 7 products in designated areas;
- Manifest and stage orders as required;
- Ability to identify problem PO's and work with supervisor to correct;
- Sorting of Giant Tiger fashion freight by store;
- Building, wrapping and assisting in the sorting / bringing down of outbound pallets;
- Verifying counts on the pallets;
- Maintain a safe and clean work area; and,
- Other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Previous shipping/receiving experience would be considered an asset;
- Forklift, high stacker, and electric pallet jack experience an asset but not required;
- Experience in a food or general merchandise warehouse environment an asset;
- Able to work quickly, accurately, and efficiently to meet production requirements;
- Able to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing and lifting for duration of shift;
- Ability to lift between 20 to 70 pounds unassisted on a regular basis;
- Ability to operate an RF hand held computer efficiently and accurately;
- Ability to read and comprehend packing slips;
- Must possess a high attention to detail;
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks;
- Ability to operate and pull a manual pump truck;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
