About this Role


Acting as an actuarial contributor and advisor for the broader team, this experienced professional role offers an exciting chance to define and progress your career in Actuary at TD.

This role requires experienced conceptual and practical knowledge in a specialty field and may lead work streams within broader project areas with moderate risk.

As an Actuarial Analyst II, you will:

  • Conduct actuarial-related research and statistical analysis to inform new premium calculations and related reserve requirements for assigned business or function
  • Support preparation and perform review of technical actuarial work underlying segments of the statistical analysis, financial documents and/or reports
  • Analyze adequacy of the company's rate and/or claim reserve levels using actuarial techniques
  • Perform quality control on regulatory submissions, determine pricing changes required to reach growth and profitability objectives and build and maintain validation processes for data, models and tools
  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate
  • Be knowledgeable of practices and procedures within own area of responsibility and keep abreast of emerging trends for own functional area
  • Experienced working professional role providing specialized business services, advisory or processes / program support within their own area of speciality
  • Requires experienced, conceptual and practical knowledge within their own specialty and knowledge of broader related areas
  • Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment by providing daytoday guidance to other/new team members, presenting work products to various business partners and by continuously enhancing professional expertise and participating in knowledge transfer
  • Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and TD, both internally and externally

Job Requirements

  • University degree
  • Three (3) or more years of related experience
  • Ability to analyze, research, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate and build positive relationships
  • Ability to communicate well in writing and speaking

  • This position requires proficiency in a language other than French to support customers, employees or markets located outside the province of Quebec or who require services in a language other than French.
