What you'll do - The Bachelor of Music Therapy program has a one course instructional opportunity for the Fall semester in a 300 level, geriatric pathophysiology course. This person would be responsible for teaching third year music therapy students the fundamental principles of pathophysiology for selected geriatric conditions, as the students prepare for their first practicum. A background in teaching this content would be an asset. This course is offered inperson only. The course is scheduled for Friday mornings, 9am to noon.
What you'll bring - Required:
- minimum of a Master's degree (for example, physiotherapy or occupational therapy, or related medical field);
- At least 5 years of clinical experience;
- Excellence in teaching medical concepts to nonmedical students in a fulltime career program;
- Excellence in interpersonal and team skills;
- Awareness about the profession of music therapy would be helpful; and
- Preference for applicants with university or college teaching experience.
