Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the General Manager.

The General Manager will play a pivotal role in assisting in all aspects of the hockey operations, including player recruitment, team management, and organizational development.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader with a passion for hockey to make a significant impact on the success and growth of our players and organization.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead player recruitment efforts, including scouting, drafting, and player evaluation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with players, coaches, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Manage team operations, including budgeting, scheduling, and travel logistics.
  • Collaborate with coaching staff to develop and implement training programs and player development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with league regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Represent the organization at events, and community outreach programs.
  • Oversee marketing and promotional activities to enhance the visibility and brand awareness of the team.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field would be considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hockey management or related field, preferably at a Junior level of hockey.
  • Strong knowledge of hockey operations, including player scouting, recruitment, and development.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse team of players and staff.
  • Demonstrated organizational and problemsolving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and hockey management software.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
