Accounting Student - Summer Term
What You'll Be Working On
Our internships, co-ops, and summer terms are designed to provide you with a business relevant project that will allow you to independently manage your own area of responsibility, while receiving support from an assigned Supervisor.
We are seeking an Accounting Student, for our Winnipeg Finance office that is available for 4 months starting in May 2023.
Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, this opportunity will serve as an introduction to the day-to-day activities of Bird's Corporate Finance Team.
This position is based in Bird's Winnipeg, MB finance office.Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of daily cash.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of fixed asset schedules.
- Assist in the preparation of lease schedules.
- Prepare routine journal entries.
- Keying and posting journal entries.
- Credit card reconciliations.
- Compile supporting documents for various monthly and quarterend deliverables.
- Assist with system compliance testing.
- Other duties as assigned.
