Job Summary


This position is responsible to effectively and efficiently run production equipment, formulations following SOP and support, manage, direct and lead production associates on a day-to-day requirement.

The Line Supervisor must ensure that line operations are running safely, efficiently and meet Company quality standards.

The incumbent must ensure the ingredients and packaging materials used for production, yield saleable products made within quality expectations, follow SQF protocols and minimise waste.

In addition, the Line Supervisor is responsible to ensure equipment is operated safely and Production Associates are performing in a safe manner.

They must report daily operation challenges, issues and activity to management and relaying Company policies and decisions to Production Associates.

Pay Rate:
$20 per hour


WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work is mainly performed in the production plant.
  • Permanent Full-Time position. Shift rotation (AM & PM) and flexible work hours to meet Production requirements
  • Must be able to work in a hot and humid environment
Production Duties

  • Proactively ensure production schedule is reviewed and planned out, to determine what products are being produced on assigned production lines and ensure line is setup properly for startup.
  • Line Supervisor is part of line set up, should have complete knowledge of setting up your line after Sanitation or any maintenance intervention.
  • Ensures tanks soaking schedule matches with the actual amount of bean tanks.
  • Manage and lead production; ensuring on time start, correct products setup online, enough labour assigned, proper materials setup and equipment inspected for a smooth production run.
  • Perform Daily Pre-Operational Safety Checks of the production equipment and production environment, and monitor and correct any unsafe condition, missing or defective safety equipment and unsafe worker behaviours.
  • Reports any raw materials shortage to the Production Supervisor, inclusive of but not limited to, soybeans, ingredients, packaging trays, films, cases, etc.
  • Working together with QC Techs ensure that start up checks (Safety, Machinery) and routine inspections are being performed correctly to minimise machinery downtime and product wastage.
  • Have to conduct prep talks with production associates on shift basis (Updating them with new implementations, GMP, Safety, issues if any and corrective actions).
  • Implement all aspects of product manufacturing, including ingredient preparation, proper production methods and quality standards.
  • Monitors and performs equipment adjustments as needed to ensure safe usage, efficient operations and product quality standards are being met.
  • Ensure that all equipment is operating in a smooth, safe and efficient manner throughout the day with regular checkups and inspections.
  • Stops production when product quality or safety is in doubt and reports problems to the Production Supervisor and/or Quality Technician in a timely manner, as applicable.
  • Daily production reports, raw materials usage records and operational control records are filled out clearly and completely. Clearly logs all problems encountered and production delays in the report.
  • Adheres to Employment Standards regulations in scheduling coffee and meal breaks for Production Associates in such a manner that there is minimum disruption to production operation.
  • Interprets and relays to Production Associates the Company's policies, direction and decisions.
  • Monitors Production Associates performance to ensure that Company policies (GMP, Health & safety, Food Safety) are complied with and production standards met.
  • Supports QC Techs and inspects product quality measuring tools, to ensure product is within specification and take necessary action if deviations are found.
  • Provides training, guidance, and instructions to Production Associates to ensure that they understand their daily assignments.
  • Aids and supports maintenance techs during emergency repairs as required and needed.
  • Resolves worker conflict and reports to the Production Supervisor immediately so that follow up actions can be taken.
  • Maintain consistent production flow by monitoring from bean soaking tanks (Quality of beans) to Product packed through packing machine.
  • Make sure line clearance is done completely after the second shift, complete the post operational check sheet, it is Line Supervisors responsibility to work with production associates and make his line ready for sanitation.
  • Should be a part of CIP and COP, to clean the machinery if needed.
  • Monitor packaging occasionally to make sure product produced on your line is packed with no wastage, if any wastage is found, investigate the reason and try to correct it right away.
  • Will be trained to be a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
