The Pearson Lab is recruiting for a full-time term Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Associate to help lead our CIHR- and CCS-funded lung cancer projects to:

  • Explore the role of epigenetic plasticity and transcriptional reprogramming in lung cancer evolution and drug resistance. Identify novel therapeutic strategies for the treatment of small cell lung cancer, the most aggressive form of lung cancer.

Postdoctoral Fellow, Position # 34863


The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $55,000 per annum (40 hours/week), commensurate with qualifications and experience, and will be for a 2-year term with possibility for extension.


Research Associate, Position # 34864


The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 per annum (40 hours/week), commensurate with qualifications and experience, and will be for a 2-year term with possibility for extension.

The anticipated start date for these positions is June 1, 2024 or at a mutually agreed upon date.


We are seeking individuals with a PhD in life sciences or related field with a background in molecular or cellular biology, cancer biology or genomics.

Experience in the following areas is beneficial, but not essential:

Mouse models (particularly lung and/or xenograft models) Genomics and bioinformatics CRISPR approaches (particularly those beyond traditional CRISPR knockout) Single-cell transcriptomics Spatial imaging and transcriptomics
