Breck provides a range of construction services in multiple industries in the industrial construction market.
Breck specializes in major projects at heavy industrial plants and is experienced in long-term maintenance, boiler inspections, shutdowns, expansions, and upgrading.
Breck's head office is in Saskatoon and currently provides services across Saskatchewan and Ontario.Position Overview:
The General Manager, Breck Scaffold Solutions (Ontario) position is a permanent full-time position. This position will be responsible for improving overall efficiency and managing Breck's overall construction operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of Breck Scaffold Solutions (Ontario)
- Create business opportunities with new clients in alignment with current strategic plan
- Build and manage relationships with partners, team members and clients
- Develop and manage work plans, budgets, and financial reports
- Responsible for sound fiscal management of Breck by identifying ways to increase revenues and decrease costs
- Ensure that optimal supply chain management processes are in place
- Responsible for overall compliance with health and safety regulations and Breck safety policies & procedures
- Ensure that staff's time is utilized efficiently, and that people are routed effectively to maximize productivity
- Hiring, managing, training, and terminating employees, including both construction and administrative personnel
- Oversee estimating and project management activities
- Providing leadership and performance management to internal team members while overseeing job progress to track aspects of project performance against deliverables
- Oversee and manage equipment and tool inventory, while ensuring the company has ideal inventory given current workload
- Analyzing financial data to help guide business process improvements
- Takes ownership and holds the team accountable to Breck policies, processes and procedures
- Regular reporting to senior management
- Lead the implementation of new initiatives
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Five years plus of previous experience in the construction industry with three years' experience in a management capacity
- Highlevel negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Extensive knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations, construction management, etc.)
- Must possess leadership, organizational, supervisory skills, as well as the ability to work with and through others to ensure that the desired results are received.
- Analytical skills and knowledge necessary to identify opportunities and make recommendations for improvements based on a solid understanding of the business and competitive landscape and market trends.
- Scaffolding experience is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Salary:
$95,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
