Joining the National Bank Investments (NBI) team as an Intern means evolving in a dynamic environment, having the opportunity to learn and develop within a team that values collaboration, innovation, taking risk, the right to error and customer satisfaction.

Your job:

Reporting to the Director, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Work with your colleagues to generate ideas and seek to identify opportunities for NBI within the various Canadian savings markets (e.g., banking channels, mutual fund dealers, full-service brokers, etc.).
  • Develop tools in PowerBI to help the business line better understand the industry's evolution.
  • Oversee investment policy statements with internal (e.g., compliance) and external (e.g., portfolio manager) partners.
  • Participate in various product launch activities, regulatory reviews, and other major projects.
  • Formulate recommendations for answers to questions from the sales teams.
  • Provide content (insight) for development activities within the team.
  • Work on the automation and continuous improvement of key processes.
  • Perform certain tasks of a recurring nature and actively work to automate the process.

NBI is an investment fund management firm engaged in the development and distribution of mutual funds, exchange traded funds, investment solutions and services designed to help Canadian investors achieve their financial goals.

Our role is to act as a catalyst for savings and investment initiatives across all National Bank networks. You will be part of a team of 10 colleagues.


Basic requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree completed or in progress in a relevant discipline
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledge of PowerBI, an asset
