Job Description:
- We are looking for several Environmental Planners to play an important role on our Environmental and Social Impact Assessment team. Values fit and shared vision are very important to SLR. Your specific responsibilities will include:
- Work with our team on significant power, renewable energy, and mining projects,
- Supporting daytoday implementation of small to largescale multidisciplinary environmental impact assessment, permitting, compliance and due diligence projects across multiple sectors and geographies,
- Report writing, research and desktop studies, with potential for participation in some field programs,
- Multidisciplinary team coordination including compilation of technical documents to support regulatory submissions,
- Implementing consultation and engagement programs, including effectively communicating with clients, regulators, and stakeholders,
- Supporting business development activities, such as contributing to proposals and prequalification submissions, and
- Assisting with project management duties including budget, scope, and schedule tracking

Qualifications
- Postsecondary degree specializing in a related technical environmental discipline (environmental science or engineering, ecology, environmental law/policy)
- 5+ years experience required (experience in power/renewables/mining preferred)
- Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong technical writing skills, with an ability to synthesize technical information and develop plain language summaries,
- An understanding of municipal, provincial, and federal environmental regulatory and permitting requirements
- Experience in a similar role in an environmental consulting environment is considered an asset
- An understanding of international environmental and social impact assessment standards, guidelines and processes is an asset
- Ability to travel within Canada periodically, as requiredCountry
