(NCA Canada) is looking for a Compressor Service Technician, Diesel Portable Compressors, to go directly to customer sites to provide quality service and product knowledge while maintaining high standards that ensure repairs are completed in a timely and professional manner.

As a National Compressed Air Compressor Service Technician, YOU will experience:

  • Within the full-time on-site role, you will be responsible for carrying out daily maintenance and repair activities on various equipment and machinery.
  • You will be tasked with troubleshooting issues in the field, servicing and repairing equipment, and providing exceptional customer service to clients.

In a typical day, YOU will:

Commissioning and Service Support

  • Performs service calls for NCA manufactured equipment (may involve international travel).
  • Troubleshooting and servicing NCA custom built machinery and industrial air compressors.
  • Field commissioning and training of NCA made equipment to end users (in factory and at site).
  • Testing of factorybuilt machines before shipping.

Manufacturing Support

  • Maintenance and Repair, Troubleshooting skills
  • Field Service and Customer Service abilities
  • Maintenance experience with industrial machinery such as air compressors or similar, etc.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, PLC's and control systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings, operating manuals
  • Preparation and fabrication of subassemblies (cutting, drilling, grinding, tapping, etc.) for final installation
  • Move, align and install subassemblies and components
  • Fit, modify and assemble prefabricated metal parts to build heavy industrial machinery
  • Install major components such as compressor pumps, engines and motors, hydraulic assemblies, fans, heat exchangers
  • Cutting, fitting, crimping hydraulic/pneumatic hoses
  • Bending, fitting, installing hydraulic/pneumatic tubing
  • Filling engine oil, compressor oil, coolant and industrial fluids
  • Performance testing of complete machines
  • Prepare units for shipping (add decals, clean, etc.)
  • Performing preventive maintenance diagnostic evaluations on compressed air equipment
  • Work will be carried out at our Mississauga facility and at customers sites (must be able to travel)
  • Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety practices and regulations

Required Skills and Experience:


  • Heavy Duty Equipment degree/diploma or Licensed Millwright/Apprentice
  • Handson experience working will all types of shop tools (mechanic/millwright training an asset)
  • Ability to work with all types of personalities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to follow technical drawings and instructions
  • Fast working, without sacrificing quality
  • Valid Passport and Driver's License
  • Forklift and Crane/Rigging Experience
  • Experience with diesel engines, compressors, piping, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Relevant technical certification or diploma in mechanical or electrical field
