Reporting to the Manager, International, the International Office Assistant provides a full range of administrative support to NorQuest International.

With a mix of initiative, computer and software skills and attention to detail this position will support the NorQuest International in advancing it's internationalization strategy.

This position will require excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail. The International Office Assistant will be expected to learn quickly and manage their task list effectively.

This position is also expected to occasionally support international students and clients as well as the planning of various internal College events and external events in the community as a representative of the College.


HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Plan and support international events related to students, projects, contract training, or internationalization on campus (travel arrangements, catering, room bookings, material prep, communications, invitations, equipment).
  • Support the international office with visa reconciliation, expense claims, travel prep and packages, purchase requisitions, IGOR requests, room bookings, setting up meetings, drafting agendas and taking minutes as required, manage office supplies (identify needs, manage inventory, and purchases).
  • Sort and deliver mail.
  • Provide nonagent related contract support, manage documents requiring signatures.
  • Support in the development and revision of all international related promotional information, print, website, and social media.
  • Identify need for promotional items, purchase, and manage inventory.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Certificate/diploma in an Administrative Professional field or comparable previous experience.
  • Experience working with international students, international agents, and international organizations would be an asset.
  • Experience in the postsecondary sector is an asset.
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft and PeopleSoft) experience an asset.
  • Event planning experience.
  • Additional languages to English would be an asset.

SALARY:
$48,403 - $62,910 reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience. This is a full-time permanent position with immediate access to our great pension and benefits programs.
