Mango, founded in Barcelona Spain, is an internationally well-known fashion brand that designs, manufactures, and markets women's, men's and kid's clothing and accessories and has over 2220 stores worldwide.

As part of the expansion plans in Canada, we are looking for experienced, energetic, passion-for
- fashion Stockroom Managers in the GTA. This position reports directly to the Store Manager and together you will build the store team.


MISSION
To lead and manage the team in receiving and controlling merchandise and its storage in the stockroom.

To undertake store replenishment according to company procedures, in order to ensure that the shop floor is customer ready at all times.


DUTIES OF THE STOCKROOM MANAGER

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • To set the expectations of how to operate the stockroom with the team
a. To guide each member of the team in all their tasks.
b. To motivate the team in their day to day work in order to maximize productivity and results.

c. To lead by example and to work along side the team to complete tasks.

  • To organize and distribute tasks and positions to each member of the team.
a. To undertake the stockroom tasks and responsibilities in an efficient manner.
b. To deal with all unforeseen situations in order to optimize the workforce.

  • To communicate actively with the team, according to requirements.
a. To hold daily meetings to explain targets and deadlines and give information on priorities.
b.

To ensure team receives weekly information on store sales targets, product information and other matters of interest for the team.


  • To participate in the recruitment of personnel in an active and optimal manner.
  • To ensure the development of the team towards a high level of knowledge and performance.
a. To ensure the correct integration and training of each employee.
b. To evaluate and encourage the progress and development of each employee.

  • To ensure a good level of customer service by supporting the sales team.
a. To ensure that each member of the team knows and applies the Mango Service Policy.
b. To deliver efficient service to the customer and manage requests by ensuring regular clear communication with the sales team

  • To detect the potential of each employee and ensure their development.
a. To be able to delegate in an effective and efficient manner.
b. To mentor the skills development of each team member according to their profile.

  • To ensure the optimal management of personnel administration duties.
a. To request and manage the recruitment of new employees.
b. To record and monitor all incidents - hours, absenteeism, holidays, etc.
c. To report and advise on all incidents in order to avoid potential problems or conflict.

  • To monitor and ensure the correct personal and professional image of the team.
a. To supply uniforms and ensure they are worn.

  • To lead the team and correctly and actively manage potential conflict.
  • To ensure compliance with the regulations and the legislation.
b. To advise on all matters affecting the operation of the store with regard to employment legislation.


BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

  • To plan the required measures in order to reach stockroom deadlines and targets.
a.

to plan the daily, weekly and monthly tasks, responsibilities and deadlines and distribute them among the team members on a daily basis.


  • To analyze and review stockroom indicators and performance in order to improve efficiency and store results.
a. To have current knowledge of key performance indicators

  • Conversion (CVR), Units per Transaction (UPT), Average Dollar transaction (ADT) and how the stockroom team can impact them.
  • To optimize resources and minimize expenses. e.g. optimization of talent ( productivity)
5. to consistently prioritize tasks and deadlines in the context of global business and commercial needs.

a. Delegates tasks and responsibilities effectively to the team.


  • Supporting, communicating, sharing best practices and information with the other Mango stockroom managers.

STOCKROOM MANAGEMENT

  • To ensure deadlines are met in unloading boxes and organizing stock deliveries.
a. To open the boxes received in an organized and systematic manner, according to store needs.

  • To guarantee the correct receipt of merchandise with the delivery driver and to confirm with Head Office that all deliveries are received and up to date, or to report on any pending/ outstanding boxes to be received.
a. Is able to communicate with Head Office and delivery company on status of shipment.

  • To report to the Store Manager on any matters relevant to operating the stockroom.
  • To ensure the stockroom team delivers replenishment requirements as per company guidelines
