Responsibilities

Supporting the growth of a new Data team, collaborate with the Director, Development, architects and other key stakeholders to standardize, elevate and define data needs throughout MNP
Lead and mentor a growing team, providing regular feedback and review, ensuring their success and supporting their ideas
Create a modern, well considered and documented approach to data that can be easily maintained
Manage the capacity of the Data team, owning commitments and ensuring timely delivery
Work hands on with stored procedures, scripts, or other technologies
Design and coordinate the deployment of new integration patterns and means of using data
Perform database modeling to produce efficient models that handle enterprise scale demands
Bring best practices, processes, and tools for database deployments and updates
Drive changes to security and data architecture for on premise and cloud SQL instances
Participate in Agile processes as part of the Development team
Lead the creation of our next generation data lake
Developing a deep understanding of MNP's services, businesses and industry

Skills and Experience

At least 5 years of experience in database development (SQL Server, NoSQL e.g. Cosmos, On-Premise, Azure)
At least 3 years of experience leading a team focused on data related initiatives
Experience with database design, data modelling, data warehouse design
Experience writing, evaluating, and performance tuning complex queries
Proven ability to create a vision and drive execution
A love of building things, a great attitude, and a sense of curiosity
