The incumbent provides support functions to the General Manager and Project Manager's and their dealings during the billing cycle
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PROJECT ACCOUNTING ADMINISTRATOR
- Handles Accounts Receivable
- Assigns Cost Codes to various jobs
- Coordinates and prepares monthly billing worksheets
- Prepares monthly invoices for distribution to clients for Contracting Department
- Posts invoices
- Reviews accounts receivable posting summary for Contracting department
- Coordinates with clients regarding payments and posting cash receipts in the system
- Set up of new projects and prepare startup documents upon award
- Manage data input into Change Order software including updates and amendments
- Updates project databases as required
- Organization and maintenance of Project files and records
- Handling Credit Applications for customers & clients
- Utilize systems within the organization to ensure continuous capability
- Interact with all parties in a professional manner
- Review each work order package separately to ensure all costs are captured
- Review markups to ensure members make sense before presenting to Customer Service Manager.
- Print invoice proof for all orders & attach to each package & create invoice
RESPONSIBILITIES OF PROJECT ACCOUNTING ADMINISTRATOR
- Identifies and develops solutions for recommendation to improve the billing cycle.
- Demonstrates the willingness and acts to ensure billing deliverables are processed and produced within the required time frame.
- Embraces the concept that each project is unique and understands the billing requirements for each individual project
QUALIFICATIONS OF PROJECT ACCOUNTING ADMINISTRATOR
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Post-secondary education preferred.
Administrative experience, preferably in construction industry. Basic accounting experience is a requirement.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Accounts Receivable experience
- Strong MS Office Suite skills
- Experience with Sage 300 is considered an asset
Job Types:

Salary:
$50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
