How You Will Make an Impact
The HOMES program provides supportive housing to persons who have been homeless and are living with a mental illness.

Team members support tenants in scattered apartment units throughout the city to reach personal goals and to have a satisfying and meaningful life in the community.


  • Responsible for assessment, planning, crisis prevention and intervention, supportive counselling, education, advocacy, conflict resolution between tenants and landlords
  • Facilitating social interaction and community integration
  • Provide linkages with other community services
  • Provide primary support to individuals and support their recovery planning
  • Some opportunities include work done in the community and in tenant apartments, with constant driving required for Mobile Team
  • Must be willing and able to assist in a handson capacity with tenants
  • Other duties as reuired.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

  • A postsecondary education in social or health services
  • A minimum of three years' experience in mental health, and concurrent disorders is required
  • Recovery orientation' and 'consumer driven' style of practice is essential
  • Possess the ability to work independently and think creatively
  • Ability to speak French and/or other languages considered an asset
  • CPR certification or willingness to be certified is required
  • A valid driver's client and access to a vehicle; or actively pursing a driver's licence will be considered.
  • Adhere to working and operating within an antiracism and antioppression framework
