Compensation Range

The Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) is a unique non-profit program for massively scalable seed stage science-based technology startups.

CDL provides milestone-based coaching to early stage companies over the course of 9 months with the goal of maximizing the commercialization of hugely impactful scientific or deeply technical breakthroughs and technology cluster development in the region.

The program's mentors are successful entrepreneurs with years of experience in building and scaling technology-oriented companies.

The Creative Destruction Lab-Vancouver (CDL-Vancouver) is housed at the University of British Columbia (UBC).

The Partnerships Coordinator manages the portfolio of donors, corporate and strategic partners of the Creative Destruction Lab-Vancouver. The Coordinator creates and manages the partner report for all stakeholders including the university, donors, CDL-Global and CDL-Vancouver executives.


The Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for the planning and coordination of a wide variety of initiatives within the CDL-Vancouver in support of the partnership portfolio, including reporting, donor onboarding, partner engagement, event planning and marketing communication.


The Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing new policies and procedures that will help to enhance and strengthen CDL-Vancouver's brand image, community contribution, stakeholder relationship and mission.

Organizational Status


While reporting to the Associate Director, Partnerships, the Partnerships Coordinator works closely with the Partnership team, CDL Site-Lead, Site Director and Venture Managers as well as interacts with the CDL-Global staff, the university Development and Alumni Engagement (DAE) office and UBC Sauder finance team.

The Coordinator liaises with university community members, potential and existing partners, other CDL sites and government officials.


Work Performed- Manages the portfolio of donors, corporate and strategic partners.- Tracks, creates and coordinates reporting on many elements of the partnership file including but not limited to Equity Value Creation, venture stories, EDI tracking, CDL Apprentice program outcomes, CDL course outcomes, donor reports, and community surveys and ensures data quality management and control.- Leads donor onboarding by ensuring the creation of a professional standard of gift agreements, legal reporting, website and other collateral updates or required marketing and communications updates.- Engages partners during the partnership term (e.g., regular check in calls, invitations to partner events and facilitating network introductions).

Interacts directly with CEOs and senior representatives of corporate sponsors and government agencies, along with dozens of scientific founders of ventures.
