Job Description Salary starting at $21.46/h + annual bonus**
Permanent, full-time position
Address: 3518 Davis Dr, Newmarket, ON L3Y 4W1, Canada
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the incumbent is responsible to carry out the various loads of material as well as all other material handling requiring the use of his loader.
- Drive and manoeuvre the loader to load and move vehicles to appropriate areas.
- Remove rows of vehicles, and ensure access and maintenance of the yard, for our customers.
- Crush vehicles.
- Perform inspection prior to use of all equipment.
- Ensure the maintenance and servicing of the loader and the press.
- Mark cars for control and inventory purposes.
- Load the crushed vehicles into the delivery trucks.
- Perform forklift task when necessary.
- Clear snow from the entrance to the customer yard and the production yard, from Sunday to Saturday.
- Help customers when they have heavy parts to transport to their vehicle.
- Perform labourer tasks when all the loader tasks are completed (ex: depollution, removing rimes from tires, daily support, etc.);
- Other related tasks.
Qualifications
- Ability to drive and operate a heavy vehicle;
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role;
- Demonstrate, at all times, safe behavior in accordance with health and safety standards;
- Patient and flexible;
- Team player;
- Conscientious of its equipment;
- Good ability to concentrate;
- Ability to adapt to different climate;
- Have a valid forklift operator card (asset);
- Loader operator trainings (asset).
