Description

The Solution Specialist proactively drives revenue and profit specific to a dedicated brand and product sets. This role collaborates with CDW Account Managers, sales leadership, and partners to identify whitespace opportunities. By leveraging knowledge of quotes, bid opportunities, and the market, the Solution Specialist is key to spotting deals and securing them, ultimately contributing to the growth of both CDW and the assigned brand.




Key Areas of Responsibility:


  • Manage and achieve individual and team revenue, gross profit sales goals for the segment.
  • Assist in identifying and driving Upsell / additional product opportunities.
  • Engage in proactive campaigns aimed at driving upsell goals.
  • Drive customer adoption, expansion, and renewal of core Microsoft cloud technologies such as M365 and Azure where relevant.
  • Participate in customer-facing events and/or conference calls to highlight the value proposition of CDW and Microsoft.
  • Conduct trainings for the assigned territory on Microsoft products, services, and programs.
  • Support partners and Product and Partner Management (PPM) contacts in crafting messaging and promotions that align with the specific customer set being served.
  • Develop and implement quarterly sales plans.
  • Foster relationships between partner sales teams, CDW Sales, and Leadership teams.
  • Stay abreast of the competitive landscape in the assigned segment and/or region and understand how market conditions can impact CDW and the supported partner.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of CDW service offerings and the process of account managers attaching them to client products.
  • Attend license trainings and obtain Microsoft certifications.

What we're seeking:


  • Currently enrolled students with an expected graduation date of December 2024 or Spring 2025.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and focused on achieving results, making an impact through effective written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work a 40-hour week within standard business hours during the summer.
  • Team-oriented; able to cultivate positive relationships with colleagues and partners.
