Kitchen Cleaner (Night)

We are currently looking for a
Kitchen Cleaner (Night) to join the team and set the stage for the food & beverage operations.

As a member of the kitchen team the Kitchen Cleaner (Night) is responsible for maximizing our guests experience by ensuring deep cleaning of the kitchen and kitchen equipment after hours to ensure the highest level of hygiene and sanitation is met.

Duties include providing through cleaning of all kitchen floors, ovens, stove tops, walls and ceiling tiles, as well as polishing and buffing all stainless-steel surfaces, cleaning fridges and freezers as directed and some light preventative maintenance and cleaning of kitchen equipment.

The Night Kitchen Cleaner also ensures that all dishes are cleaned and stored in the appropriate area prior to the arrival of the opening shift and communicates all equipment or areas that are in need of repair in to the Executive Chef.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will:

Ensure all areas of the kitchen are cleaned according to hotel/brand standards; including sanitizing food preparation areas, scrubbing kitchen equipment
Providing through cleaning of all kitchen floors and mats ensuring no debris is left under prep/cook areas or stoves after sweeping and mopping;
Cleaning ovens, stove tops, fryers as directed per kitchen maintenance schedule
Ensure all sinks, backsplashes and counter surfaces are cleaned and sanitized nightly.
Wash walls and ceiling tiles on ongoing rotation, as directed by the Executive Chef
Polishand buffing all stainlesssteel surfaces
Clean fridges and freezers including doors, racks, walls and floors as per department procedure
Cleans filters and fryer grill hoods, changes fryer oil as directed by Chef and in accordance with 3rd party contractor cleaning and maintenance cycle
Wash all main kitchen and banquet kitchen dishes, glassware, and cutlery to ensure sufficient supplies are available at all times;
Clean the dishwashing machines, and jet components, including closing jet flaps;
Wash pots and pans, including kitchen utensils. Wash display mirrors in the main kitchen and banquet kitchen;
Empty all garbage containers in the main kitchen and banquet kitchen into garbage dumpsters/recycling containers;
Break down all empty boxes and deposit them into a trash compactor or designated pickup area. Once compacted, tie broken boxes with wire;
Clean loading dock daily;
Clean/maintain the cleanliness of the staff cafeteria, dishes, and cutlery;
Ensure the work area is clean and properly sanitized at all times;
Any other duties as instructed by the Executive Chef or Manager on Duty, including food preparation.

Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment;
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team;
Ability to meet the physical aspects of the position including but not limited to:
Constant standing and walking throughout shift;
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs;
Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling;
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps;
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.

Salary Range
$15.38 / hour
