Your Role:


We're seeking a Media Specialist to assist in the execution of our marketing and communications strategy through sophisticated social media content and management of our digital media platforms.

Reporting to the Brand Sustainment Lead, you will work with a variety of internal partners to:

Elevate the McElhanney brand via our social media platforms:

, which are one of the highest engaged platforms in our industry. You will create (from design to copy writing) and publish strategic content and analyze metrics using our social media analytics tools. You will master our evolving editorial schedule, offer new ideas, find errors, and work with our strategic goals top of mind. This will be your primary role.

Create marketing content with your excellent writing skills

Support our award-winning marketing team to produce various content as needed, from newsworthy web content to winning award submissions.


Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, monitor, design, and post daily social media content that are aligned with strategic goals
  • Source and prepare content using tools and formats to best reach targeted audiences
  • Manage the content marketing calendar with overall brand and business goals in mind
  • Research and leverage potential media opportunities
  • Report on related metrics and offer opportunities for improvement
  • Write, edit, and proofread other marketing and communications content

Requirements:


  • Postsecondary diploma or degree in marketing, communications, arts, business, or a related field; with at least three years of related experience in a similar role leveraging media for achieving B2B marketing goals
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and simultaneous deadlines with ease and deal with changing priorities
  • Experience in identifying and managing various marketing platforms (from keeping Google Business up to date, to monitoring successful paid AdWords campaigns, to securing print ads and hockey boards).
  • Creative ability to turn technical information into compelling social campaigns that tell our story, as well as the analytical ability to assess content against requirements
  • Motivated to proactively build relationships with people and quick to pick up the phone to engage and ask questions
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Exceptional skills in using design tools for social media graphics
  • Video production experience is an asset; otherwise, a passion for learning how to create video content is required
  • A solid understanding of analytics, with the ability to generate, analyze, and interpret data into concise reports
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills; familiarity using Adobe Creative Suite is an asset
