Canadian National Railway Company (CN) is looking for a highly motivated person to fulfill a full-time (40h/week) Intern, Human Resources Systems Analyst
position in Montreal, Quebec
for summer 2023 (May - August).

Job Summary


The Intern, Human Resources Systems Analyst is responsible for assisting Human Resources (HR) Technology with a wide range of projects concerning Human Resources Information System (HRIS), including HR process design, review, optimization and maintenance of other HR tools already in place.

The incumbent performs activities related to projects that include analysis, evaluating, testing, planning, and executing small projects as well as assists in the development of processes.

The position applies skills learned in school in a professional setting as well as gains a better understanding of the role that HR plays in a corporate setting.

Major Responsibilities

  • Assist in the HR process design, review, and optimization
  • Contribute to the maintenance of CN's HR tools including a Talent Management Suite from Cornerstone on Demand
  • Support business stakeholders in gathering business requirements
  • Maintain and modify existing reports as well as create new ones concerning customers' requirements
  • Participate in the design of support materials
  • Perform data entry and other clerical assignments

Requirements:


  • Applies critical thinking
  • Time management
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced demanding environment and oversee multiple priorities
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Knowledge of Human Capital Management (HCM), Workday, Systems, Applications and Products (SAP), and Oracle
  • Knowledge of Cornerstone or another Talent Management System
  • Knowledge of SharePoint
  • Fluently bilingual both written and verbal (English, French)
  • Knowledge of Tableau or Power BI*Education
  • Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Technology or equivalent with a minor in Computer Science, Technology, Human Resources or a related field
  • Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset
