About the position:

Responsibilities:

Be the central point of expertise for Laser Welding Applications at our Canadian office.
Develop and recreate welding process parameters to acquire highquality weld measurement data from IPG Canada's proprietary LDD monitoring technology.
Create and distribute quarterly reports on Application and present to management on a quarterly basis.
Provide oversight, supervision, maintenance, troubleshooting and management of all associated lab laser welding components and activities.
Procure necessary equipment and materials and make recommendations to upgrade and replace equipment as needed.
Create Applications reports for distribution to clients and internal/external stakeholders.

Requirements:

You're a laser welding expert and have an advanced understanding of optics.
You have experience with automation and robotics and are capable of setting up wiring and switching infrastructure.

You understand PLC and Gcode fundamentals.
Collaboration and teamwork come naturally to you and you have demonstrable experience being part of a highperforming team.
As a selfstarter you can work under mínimal supervision and have excellent communication and technical report writing skills.

You have a postsecondary technical education in engineering/physics or a related field or supplementary work experience.
