About the position:
Responsibilities:
- Be the central point of expertise for Laser Welding Applications at our Canadian office.
- Develop and recreate welding process parameters to acquire highquality weld measurement data from IPG Canada's proprietary LDD monitoring technology.
- Create and distribute quarterly reports on Application and present to management on a quarterly basis.
- Provide oversight, supervision, maintenance, troubleshooting and management of all associated lab laser welding components and activities.
- Procure necessary equipment and materials and make recommendations to upgrade and replace equipment as needed.
- Create Applications reports for distribution to clients and internal/external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- You're a laser welding expert and have an advanced understanding of optics.
- You have experience with automation and robotics and are capable of setting up wiring and switching infrastructure.

- You understand PLC and Gcode fundamentals.

- As a selfstarter you can work under mínimal supervision and have excellent communication and technical report writing skills.

- You have a postsecondary technical education in engineering/physics or a related field or supplementary work experience.
