Summary

Must be a Permanent Resident of Canada
The Accounting Associate will be responsible for accounting functions as well as administration

of various retail and builder receivables. This role is responsible for certain accounting

reconciliations to be performed on a monthly basis. Retail AR tasks include supporting retail

store locations with invoice payments, financing, refunds and AR management. Builder AR

tasks include preparation of builder project billing and related reconciliations.

Other duties may be assigned as necessary.


Job Duties
Complete assigned account reconciliations and various reporting

Communicate with stores to assist with AR account management

Bill and collect on retail receivables

Communicate with internal stakeholders from various departments

Verify and process customer refunds

Prepare builder project billing submissions

Prepare builder project reconciliations at various stages of projects

Serve as a back-up for various accounting and administrative functions within the AR

group

Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements:

Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or

other related field.

one to three years of experience in accounts receivable and general bookkeeping.

Strong working knowledge of bank reconciliation and accounts receivable functions.

Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability.

Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.

Experience with accounting and reporting systems.

Perform mathematical computations accurately and quickly.

Ability to respond appropriately in pressure situations with a calm and steady

demeanour.

Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.

High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite, particularly Excel
