Description of Position


We are searching for an engaging, courteous Customer Service Representative who is passionate about food and beverage preparation and education.

The Customer Service Representative will greet customers, answer their questions, take orders and accept payments, and prepare and serve food and drinks.

You will also maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace and seating area, update displays, and continuously expand your knowledge of food and beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and presentation.

To succeed as a Customer Service Representative you should be committed to providing customers with excellent service. You should be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and polite.


Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments.
  • Preparing brewed coffee and tea and serving items to customers.
  • Packaging food and beverages for sale.
  • Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas, emptying trash, and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
  • Learning about food preparation and presentation techniques to improve food quality.
  • Updating signage and displays to attract customers.
  • Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter.
  • Working in as part of a fun, highenergy team.
  • Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls.

  • Cashier/Barista in a commercial setting is a strong asset
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed.

  • Ability to build relationships
  • Ability to work a POS system

Physical Requirements

  • Constant standing/walking
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling or crawling
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50lbs
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders
  • Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine
  • Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work around work area
  • Constant reception of detailed instructions through oral communication
  • Constant talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word
  • Occasional Distinguishing, with a degree of accuracy, differences or similarities in intensity or quality of flavors and/or odors

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time


Salary:
$16.55-$17.55 per hour
