What you will do

  • Provide ongoing support and consultation to Case Manager and Rehabilitation Consultants through the claim management process
  • Maintain follow up contact with a claimant, focusing on barrier resolution and functional improvements made, while providing claimant support during the recovery period
  • Assess the potential for medical coordination to impact on the duration of disability of complex claims through file review and direct interview of claimants and involved treatment providers
  • Develop realistic, costeffective plans for actions focusing on return to work
  • Prepare written reports detailing findings and recommendations
  • Track medical coordination activities and document case files electronically and maintain internal records
  • Assess the potential for medical coordination to impact on the duration of a disability claim
  • Assess diagnostic and treatment needs, developing plans through file review and telephone interview of claimants and involved treatment providers
  • Negoitiate and develop realistic costeffective, proative plans for actions focusing on return to work
  • Maintain frequent ongoing contact with claimants, focusing on barrier resolution and functional improvements

What you will bring

  • Registered Nurse/regulated health professional (RN, OT, PT) with current registration in good standing
  • Minimum of 5 years' clinical experience
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Proven ability to thrive in a challenging, demanding and dynamic work environment
  • Good problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, MS Teams, and Outlook) and other systems

Work environment will include some rotational in-office & work-from-home capability.
